“We have 3 children enrolled in Creative Chinese Club classes. The CCC team prioritizes personal connections with our kids, create personalized lessons for their proficiency progress as well as host cultural events with other learners around the world! We can not say enough about how amazing and enriching this experience continues to be for our kids.”

Patrice Le Nouvel, Paris, France

“My children have been taking online Mandarin classes with Creative Chinese Club for almost two years now, on a weekly basis, and the experience has been outstanding. The lessons are clear, concise, and very well structured, which makes learning both accessible and enjoyable. My kids absolutely love their classes and look forward to them every week. Their progress has been remarkable — they keep improving steadily, gaining confidence and vocabulary session after session. I truly recommend Creative Chinese Club to any family looking for high‑quality Mandarin teaching. An excellent program and a wonderful team.”

“I love this community that has been formed and builds a bridge that connects people across continents! My kids have been taking weekly zoom classes and I am in the adult class. The lessons use a variety of methods to keep us engaged and the classes are small enough where personalized help is received. The kindness, knowledge and patience of all the teachers we’ve met has provided a great learning environment. The new friends made both in class and overseas are a delight. Learning + meeting people = priceless. 谢谢 老师!”

“Thank you so much for such a brilliant lesson today.  Tahlia was a bit sleepy as she woke up not too long before the lesson. But she even said she had so much fun and you was so friendly.  She’s already practicing her sentences. I loved how much you challenged her and got her to think more intricately about how she answers instead of just throwing vocab words. I loved the true or false questions! Such an exciting round up and I was really impressed by how much she’s retained as we haven’t had a 121 for a few weeks now.”

“I taught Mandarin Chinese to university students in the U.S. for 41 years and recently retired. Although I was able to make Chinese fun and accessible for college-age learners, I could never have developed the incredibly creative and fun and engaging ways the team of the Creative Chinese Club have developed for reaching children across the world. Children in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. are not only taught the Chinese language but are introduced to a great many aspects of Chinese culture. At the same time, children in China are given a look into American society and culture while friendships are fostered between children from different countries across the globe. I highly recommend the Creative Chinese Club to parents and children in English speaking countries to help them learn the Chinese language and culture in the most fabulously fun and creative way imaginable, with teachers who have big hearts, great patience, and love.”

“We are a multilingual family, and I am a linguist specializing in bilingualism and multilingualism during childhood development. Last summer, we needed to prepare our three trilingual children for our move to China. We suggested they take a lesson with Minji from CCC. We were a bit skeptical about whether they would be able to sit still for half an hour and stay engaged in a lesson on Chinese—a language entirely new to them. However, we were pleasantly surprised by how engaged they were throughout the class! Our three children—aged 4, 8, and 11—not only had fun and easily learned their first Chinese words and expressions with genuine interest, but they were also motivated to take more lessons afterward! They learned the basics of the Chinese language and culture in just a few sessions, and I must say their interest in China grew even before we left! I highly recommend Minji and her CCC program! Her teaching method is engaging and rich in content; she radiates cheerfulness, and her teaching tools are interactive and fun. As someone who has taught Italian to foreigners for 15 years, I truly admire this approach to online teaching for children. Minji is not only an expert professional in multilingual settings and online teaching for kids, but also an extraordinary person who wants to change the world—starting with children—and turn them into citizens of a world more open to languages and cultures! Thank you, Minji, for helping us integrate into China and for instilling confidence in our children. ❤️🌹🇨🇳”

“Lily and Miles really enjoyed your class. You really made it so fun and engaging for them.”

“I have been taking beginner Chinese language classes with Creative Chinese Club for two years. The weekly group sessions are engaging and always well prepared. I will be taking a trip to China in March 2026 and have learned enough about the language, and culture, to get around on my own.g for them.”

Melissa Hardy, Louisiana, USA

“Creative Chinese Club has been a wonderful way for my son to learn Mandarin. We started when he was in early elementary, as a supplement to his language immersion program. Several years later, after our immersion program was (unfortunately) ended, we are able to continue to build amazing language skills – all while having fun.

They use movies, art, pen pals, special occasions and groups to get kids learning in a very exciting way – it’s like sneaking spinach into a smoothie!
Minji has been attentive and understanding of my son’s challenges, he’s not your normal learner, but she has found ways to engage him at every crossroads. He is comfortable and trusts her, in a way that adds another level to the experience.

I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! All stars! ✨.”

“As an ESL teacher myself, I know the amount of personal energy and time that goes into preparing interactive, effective, student-focused lessons. It can be hard to come across teachers who are not only following the generalized language teaching ways but also paying attention to the individual learning needs of each student, while also creating an emotionally supportive learning environment.

Minji and the Creative Chinese Club are doing this, and doing it well!

I love the curriculum and enjoy the classes. I feel challenged enough so that I am constantly learning but not being pushed so much that I feel overwhelmed or discouraged.

The pre-class challenges are fun and tap into my creative energy which I am then able to express in our classes. Minji is a kind, thoughtful, and professional teacher who makes learning fun and interesting. I can recommend the Creative Chinese Club with full confidence..”

Dianna Kellogg, California, USA

“We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Minji and her Mandarin classes. We don’t have anyone in our family who speaks Mandarin, so I was initially unsure how easily my son would be able to learn and stay engaged.

Minji took the time to understand his individual learning style and created a curriculum specifically tailored to him. Instead of Mandarin feeling difficult or boring, she has made learning fun, engaging, and something he genuinely enjoys.

What stands out to me most is how much Minji truly cares about her students. You can tell that teaching isn’t simply a job for her—it’s her calling. She is patient, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in my son’s progress. I’m so grateful we found her and would highly recommend her to any family looking for a wonderful Mandarin teacher.”

“Learning Mandarin online with a teacher passionate about what she has created, enjoys teaching while she is (and you are) also having fun, sounds attractive to you?”

Min Zhang, Utah, USA

“As an intercultural family, one of our key values is raising our children to become global citizens. Creative Chinese Club (CCC) aligns perfectly with this goal, as it fosters cross-cultural connections. Through CCC, our children have the opportunity to meet and interact with peers from different parts of the world. Minji, our wonderful instructor, regularly shares engaging newsletters featuring fun and authentic cultural insights and experiences that are real, lively and up to date.

In addition to the enriching weekly lessons, CCC offers a variety of events and programs that enhance the learning experience in unique ways. One highlight for our children is taking the cutouts of Hot Dog and Frozen Kitty, CCC’s original characters, on their own little adventures and seeing what exciting things they get up to with other kids around the world.

I can’t forget to mention how much I enjoy working with Minji. Initially, our son was hesitant and lacked confidence when it came to learning Chinese. However, Minji’s caring and encouraging teaching style transformed his attitude. He now loves learning Chinese and is far more confident in his abilities. Minji also incorporates creativity into the learning process, offering fun pre-class challenges that our children thoroughly enjoy.”

“My son has been learning Chinese with the Creative Chinese Club for over two years now. The teachers there are excellent. They really try to understand my child and tailor the curriculum for him.”

“We don’t speak any Mandarin in our home. None of us are heritage speakers. So when we signed our daughter up with the Creative Chinese Club at age 5 I told myself it would be a nice enrichment activity. My daughter had no exposure to the language, no relatives to practice with and about a five minute attention span for anything. We had already tried APPs and other resources. Those resources did not hold her attention and she retained nothing.

I want to be upfront for this review. I also volunteer as a teacher trainer for Creative Chinese Club. I came to them as a parent first and I stayed because of what we experienced.

I am a licensed teacher and reading specialist with 12 years of experience teaching language to very young children online. I now help train the people who teach my own daughter. That means I know exactly what the teachers at Creative Chinese Club are asked to do in a lesson and then I get to watch my daughter receive the instruction in her classes.

The teachers are trained the way my daughter actually learned. There is lots of comprehensible input so she is hearing real Mandarin. She can piece it together from context instead of translating it word by word. Repetition is built into songs and games so it never feels like drilling. The teachers use props, movements and activities because that is what holds a young child’s attention. The part that I care about the most is that the teachers are patient and give my daughter the wait time needed. WHen my daughter needs six seconds to think and process they will wait and give her the time she needs to formulate a response. That is the difference between a child who speaks and a child who waits to be given the answer.

The moment I knew our classes were working came in the car a few months in. My daughter counted to ten in Mandarin without being asked and then started naming the color of every vehicle we passed. I did not prompt her because no one in our home speaks Mandarin.

A year later my daughter can greet people in Mandarin, sing entire songs from start to finish, recognise characters in books and she asks me everyday when she gets to see her teachers again. Her little sister who is almost two has started following along as well (and is so jealous she can’t attend class yet). I also have picked up more Mandarin myself than I expected just by being in the room.

Creative Chinese Club also offers classes for adults and I attend a group class when time allows. I highly recommend parents learn with their child when possible.

For a family that started at absolute zero none of this seemed realistic when we signed up but it is possible!

If you do not speak Mandarin and you wonder whether your child can genuinely learn this language online, the Creative Chinese Club is where I would start. Book the discovery call and begin your learning journey..”
